Trailer Rental Consignment Policy
Effective Date: January 3, 2026
This Trailer Rental Consignment Policy (“Policy”) governs the eligibility, acceptance, and ongoing participation of trailers submitted for consignment into Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals' rental fleet. This Policy is incorporated by reference into any Trailer Consignment Agreement entered into between Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals and the trailer owner (“Consignor”).
Submission of a trailer for consignment constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of this Policy.
1. Ownership and Authority
1.1. The Consignor represents and warrants that they are the lawful owner of the trailer or are otherwise authorized to consign the trailer.
1.2. The Consignor must provide valid proof of ownership, including title, registration, or manufacturer’s certificate of origin, if applicable.
1.3. Trailers subject to liens, security interests, or encumbrances must be disclosed in writing and are subject to Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals approval.
1.4. The Consignor affirms they have full authority to enter into a consignment agreement and to permit the trailer’s rental use.
2. Trailer Eligibility and Condition Standards
2.1. All trailers must be in safe, roadworthy, and rentable condition at the time of submission and throughout the consignment term.
2.2. At a minimum, trailers must meet the following standards:

Structurally sound frame, tongue, and welds

Operational coupler, safety chains, and trailer jack

Functional lighting, wiring, reflectors, and signals

Tires with sufficient tread depth, proper inflation, and correct load rating
-
Operational braking systems where required

Secure ramps, doors, gates, latches, and tie-down points
-
No significant rust, cracks, or structural compromise
2.3. Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals reserves sole discretion to determine whether a trailer meets acceptance standards.
3. Inspection and Approval
3.1. All trailers submitted for consignment are subject to inspection prior to acceptance.
3.2. Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals may approve, conditionally approve, or reject any trailer based on safety, condition, market demand, or operational considerations.
3.3. Approval of a trailer does not guarantee rental frequency or revenue.
4. Age, Usage, and Modifications
4.1. Trailer age is evaluated in conjunction with overall condition and rental suitability.
4.2. Modified or specialty trailers are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
4.3. Trailers modified outside manufacturer specifications or applicable safety standards may be rejected.
4.4. Homemade or undocumented trailers are generally not accepted.
5. Insurance and Risk Allocation
5.1. The Consignor is responsible for maintaining any personal or commercial insurance coverage required by law or desired for asset protection.
5.2. Renters are contractually responsible for damage occurring during the rental period, subject to the terms of the rental agreement.
5.3. Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals does not guarantee that insurance coverage or damage waivers will fully compensate for all loss or depreciation.
5.4. Damage handling and resolution procedures are governed by the executed consignment agreement.
6. Availability and Access
6.1. The Consignor must disclose all availability restrictions, blackout dates, or usage limitations in writing.
6.2. Consistent availability materially impacts rental performance and revenue potential.
6.3. Storage location, access rights, and removal procedures are governed by the consignment agreement.
7. Branding, Identification, and Use
7.1. Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals may apply temporary branding, identification, or asset tags to consigned trailers for operational purposes.
7.2. Permanent modifications require prior written approval from the Consignor.
7.3. Owner-installed branding must not interfere with rental visibility, safety, or customer use.
8. Prohibited Trailers
The following trailers are not eligible for consignment:

Trailers with known safety defects or unresolved mechanical issues

Trailers that fail inspection or compliance requirements

Trailers lacking proper documentation

Trailers deemed unsuitable for rental use at Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals discretion
9. Ongoing Compliance and Removal
9.1. All consigned trailers must continue to meet Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals standards throughout the consignment term.
9.2. Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals reserves the right to conduct periodic inspections.
9.3. Trailers that fall out of compliance may be suspended or removed from the rental fleet until deficiencies are corrected.
9.4. Repeated or unresolved compliance failures may result in termination of the consignment relationship pursuant to the agreement.
10. No Guarantee of Revenue
10.1. Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals makes no representations or guarantees regarding rental frequency, income, or profitability.
10.2. Revenue is dependent on market demand, seasonality, trailer condition, availability, and other factors beyond Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals control.
11. Policy Modifications
Tow-n-Go Trailer Rentals reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Continued participation in the consignment program constitutes acceptance of any updated Policy.
